What does the “TV Supply and Installation” service cover?
Our TV Supply and Installation service includes:
- Supplying the TV (we either source your chosen model or recommend one).
- Delivery to your address.
- Mounting the TV (wall mount / stand) including all required brackets and hardware.
- All required electrical work
- Concealing or tidying cables (Cables either hidden inside wall cavity or solid wall or installed within decorative trunking).
- Connecting the TV to power, AV sources, satellite/cable, streaming devices, etc.
- Setting up optimal picture settings (e.g. calibrating brightness, contrast, sound).
- Testing to ensure all works before we leave.
- Clean-up of packaging and installation waste.
How do I prepare for the installation appointment?
There isn’t much that we need you to do as we will handle everything for you. As long as someone is home at the time of your installation that is able to answer any questions regarding the property then we will do the rest. Everything else will be discussed prior to the installation day during your telephone / home survey. That’s the beauty of a TV Supply and Installation service!
How long will the installation take?
In most standard cases, installing a TV takes 1 to 2 hours (including mounting, wiring, setting up sources, and testing). If additional work (concealing cables, routing new wires, wall chasing) is needed, it may take slightly longer. With our TV Supply and Installation service, our aim is to minimise disruption.
What if I already have a TV and just want installation?
Yes — we also offer installation-only services. You can book us just to fit your existing TV, mount it, wire it up, and tidy the cabling.

Do you offer a warranty with your TV's?
Of course. We deal direct with all the major manufacturers so every TV comes supplied with there own warranty which will be between 1 and 5 years. If you do ever have to use the warranty on your TV then we will help you with this process. If the TV has to be replaced this will all be handled by ourselves with no cost to you.
Is there a warranty or guarantee on the installation work?
Yes, our installations come with a workmanship guarantee: if something we installed fails or malfunctions due to installation error within a specified period, we’ll return and fix it at no extra cost. The TV itself remains covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Do I need a site survey before installation?
In some cases, yes. We may conduct a telephone survey or, if needed, a home survey to check structural conditions, wiring, wall material, or special requirements. This ensures a professional installation which is carried out within the agreed timescales.

We’ll assess power availability and signal source locations during the survey stage. If required, we may suggest installing a new power outlet or rerouting cable runs. At Sound and Vision at Home we don’t like to see any visible cabling so we will do everything we can to hide them.
What kind of TV mounts do you supply / use?
We supply a range of standard, full-motion, tilting, low-profile, and recessed mounts. We match the mount to the TV’s VESA pattern, weight, wall material, and customer preference. If you already have a mount, we can use it (if it is safely compatible).
What happens if there’s a problem after installation ?
You should contact us immediately. Our workmanship guarantee covers issues arising from the installation. We’ll arrange for a technician to attend and rectify within an agreed timeframe ( at no extra cost). For faults in the TV itself, we’ll assist in warranty support with the manufacturer.
Can you relocate an existing TV to a new position?
Yes — we can move/relocate your existing TV. This includes removing it from its current position, patching or finishing that wall, and reinstalling it at the new location (subject to structural feasibility).
